Bicycle component supplier Enviolo has announced the appointment of Mathias Seidler to its supervisory board. Seidler joined the Enviolo board in Dec. 2020 and is an entrepreneur with a long track record in the bike market. His background includes companies such as Derby Cycle, Pon Holdings, Hero Group and Avocet Sports. During his time as CEO of Derby Cycle, he grew the company to market leadership in Europe in the growing e-bike segment and took it public in 2011. The public listing was discontinued at the end of 2012 when major shareholder Pon Germany swallowed the last minority shares of Derby Cycle on behalf of its Dutch parent company Pon Holdings.
Enviolo is a subsidiary of U.S.-based Fallbrook Technologies (known for its continuously variable planetary gearbox technology) and is headquartered in Amsterdam “with main operations in Europe, the United States and global sourcing activities focused on unique product innovation.” Enviolo has made a name for itself in the bicycle industry with its stepless automatic shifting products.
