With Kim, Julian and Jacob von Hacht, the children of the company’s founders Werner and Wolfgang von Hacht, the second generation of the owner-managed family business Stevens Vertriebs GmbH is joining the management of the Hamburg-based bicycle equipment manufacturer.
Fred Schierenbeck is leaving as Stevens’ co-managing director on July 1 and will become the third board member at ZEG, responsible for marketing and sales. Under the aegis of industry veteran Schierenbeck, the second generation of the von Hacht family was able to get to know important business areas and shape them competently and successfully. In fact, Kim, Julian and Jacob von Hacht have been working in their father’s company for quite some time. After a commercial apprenticeship and further qualifications or studies, they are already working in leading positions at Stevens.
As of March, the family business will be led by the following team of managing directors: Wolfgang von Hacht, founder of Stevens alongside his brother Werner, remains chairman of the board and is responsible for finance and product development. Kim von Hacht will be responsible for IT, human resources and administration, Julian von Hacht for purchasing, production, warehousing and product design, and Jacob von Hacht for marketing, customer service and sales. Stevens now has more than 120 employees.
