(SGI) The European Federation of Sports Retailers, Fedas, unanimously elected Stefan Herzog as its new president at its general assembly, convened via a videoconference. Herzog, who ran SportScheck for many years until 2016, will continue as secretary general of VDS, the German Sports Retailers’s Federation, which he has led since the end of 2018. He takes over Fedas’ helm from Werner Haizmann, who held the office for the last 24 years. Because of his achievements, Haizmann, who has also been the president of VDS, was appointed honorary president of Fedas.
Fedas has decided to move the headquarters of Fedas from Munich to Vienna, where Michael Nendwich will continue as managing director of the international organization, as he has done since 2017. Nendwich, who represents the Austrian Association of Sporting Goods Manufacturers and Suppliers (VSSÖ), will continue to sit on the board of Fedas.
