For the sixth year running, Keen Footwear is supporting the non-profit organization “Respect the mountains” in the organization of the “Envirotrek Clean Up Series” as a main sponsor. Envirotrek is a grassroots event series that takes place in the summer after the winter snow melts. Local companies and associations as well as tourists and residents are invited to clean up popular mountain tourist destinations in six European countries. The first and second event take place in Germany on May 24 and June 14, followed by the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, France and the U.K. Last year, a total of 565 participants collected 2.6 tons of garbage. Per event, 80 people are invited to participate. As a reward, outdoor activities are organized in the afternoon.
