Bergans of Norway has announced a change in its Swiss distribution, which has been handled so far by its Germany subsidiary Hamburg. Effective Nov. 1, Ace Alpine & Climbing Equipment will be in charge of distribution. The pre-orders for summer 2016 will still be taken care of by the German office. The man in charge of Swiss affairs, Thilo Schmidt-Arras, will switch to the German sales team. Ace has its own warehouse and represents a wide range of brands in the country from Devold and Edelrid over Isbjörn of Sweden and Pieps to La Sportiva. Currently, some 40 retailers in Switzerland carry the Norwegian outdoor brand.
