Following its recent decision to put an end to Lowe Alpine's apparel line, Equip Outdoor Technologies is stopping some of the related foreign distribution contracts for the brand. Equip will take care of Lowe Alpine's Spanish clients directly, starting with orders for the spring/summer 2015. The current Spanish distributor of the brand, Carving Sport, will cease its 10-year-old relationship with the brand as of next February. At the same time, Lowe Alpine will no longer be sold in Norway by its long-time local agent, Vertikal. Equip has decided to transfer the management of the brand there to Equip Norway, which currently acts as the agent for Rab in Norway. Vertikal has been the Norwegian agent for Lowe Alpine since 1987. The break-up will lead it to lose annual revenues of roughly 5 million Norwegian kroner (€0.60m-$0.82m) out of its total turnover of its NOK 27.5 million (€3.31m-$4.50m).
