UV-Buddy has secured an agreement for Ed & Phil Active to distribute its UV-sensitive bracelets in the U.K. Cornwall-based UV-Buddy produces a selection of reactive jewelry and accessories that warn people out in the sun when they are being exposed to high levels of UV. Bracelets are designed with beads made of a special plastic material which contains pigments that change color when exposed to UV light. Ed & Phil, which specializes in sourcing and providing products for independent sport and outdoor retailers in the U.K., will initially be distributing two products – the St Piran black and white beaded bracelet with blue reactive beads, exclusive to Ed & Phil Active, and the pink Cotton Candy bracelet with pink reactive beads. The bracelets come in three sizes, to fit all age groups, and sell at £4.99 (€6.28-$8.28) each.
