A Dutch chain of textile shops, Zeeman (=The Sailor), has reportedly acquired a majority interest in Vrijbuiter through an investment fund, Navitas Capital. Vrijbuiter operates four outdoor megastores in the Dutch cities of Roden, Gouda, Zaandam and Roermond. It also operates what it claims to be Europe's largest online store for camping and other outdoor-related items, with many clients in the Benelux countries and in Germany. The reports indicate that it wanted to expand into Germany or Belgium.
