After the launch of its subsidiaries in Finland and Sweden last year, Columbia Sportswear opened its own business in Denmark this year as well. This is headed by Lars Rafn, who has dealt with the Columbia brand for 14 years as its Danish agent. Columbia has attained a strong market position for apparel and even more so for footwear in the Danish outdoor market, which concentrates on lifestyle products. The Danish subsidiary reports to Petri Raatikainen, Nordic manager, based in Helsinki.
