As of the end of October, Kenny Ballard, the president of Boulder Outdoor Specialty Group, is leaving the company to move back to the eastern part of the U.S. to be with his aging parents. During this transition period he is working from the Vermont offices of Isis for Women, BOSG’s sister company. BOSG is a collection of six of the best-known and best-loved brands in the outdoor industry, offering a wide variety of gear to compliment any outdoor pursuit. The group’s brand family includes Kelty, Kelty KIDS, Sierra Designs, Slumberjack, Wenger and Ultimate Direction. Drawing upon decades of experience and a love of the outdoors, the Boulder Group develops, tests and produces some of the finest camping, backpacking, and outdoor equipment and apparel available. Ballard joined Kelty in 2000 and became BOSG president in 2005.
