Bergans of Norway has appointed Claire Mouzard as country manager for France. The 33-year-old has worked for nine years in international marketing for Eider, the French sports clothing brand acquired by Lafuma last year. Before, Bergans had an agent in France for two years that was representing several Norwegian brands. It had only a few clients in France including Au Vieux Campeur, the country’s biggest chain. Bergans will capitalize on quick deliveries from its two-year-old European distribution center in Hamburg. The company’s sales are expected to grow this year by about 8 percent and reach €66 million.
