Canada Goose is opening its third resource center, to be located at Larga Baffin Ltd. in Ottawa. Other resource centers of this maker of down-insulated outerwear are partnerships with the North West Company, a retailer in rural Canada, and First Air, the country’s largest northern airline (see The Compass of June 10, 2009). At these centers, Inuits who sew can find free fabric, buttons, zippers and other materials for making clothes. Larga Baffin is a rooming home for patients and family members visiting the city for medical care. Tilley Endurables, which makes hats and travel clothing, will provide materials to the two Canada Goose resource centers.
