Cloudveil is again under new ownership. Spyder and its private equity owners have decided to sell it to another investment firm, Windsong, based in Connecticut. Spyder remains in charge of deliveries and customer service for the 2010 spring/summer collection. The new management is actually not unfamiliar with the brand: Jim Reilly, who used to be chief operating officer of The North Face and also a manager of Cloudveil when it was owned by Fila, is the new president of the American outdoor label. Its former director of global sales, James Samuel, has been appointed general manager. Stephen Sullivan, Cloudveil’s co-founder and president, has stepped down.
