Pomoca, a specialist in ski mountaineering skins and part of the Oberalp Group since 2011, is building new headquarters in Chavornay, about 25 km north of its current production and administration site in Denges, near Lausanne, Switzerland. According to a company statement, production at the current site has reached its limits (despite doubling capacity) in the wake of significant growth of the ski touring market in recent seasons. Once the new factory is completed, Pomoca will move to Chavornay with about 60 employees.
Pomoca was founded in 1933 in Les Avants above Montreux and was based in Aubonne from 1960 to 2011 before moving its production to Denges. The Pomoca building in Chavornay will be the third office base of the Oberalp Group after its Bolzano, Italy, headquarters and the Dynafit facility in Kiefersfelden, Germany.
