Klepper Faltbootwerft, founded in southern Germany in 1907, was sold to Klepper Lifestyle GmbH, a company of Compass Logistics International based in Hamburg and run by CEO Michael Müller, effective Aug. 1. The acquisition includes all relevant trademark rights with the name Klepper. Details of the sales price were not disclosed. The takeover is intended to continue the 100-plus-year-old tradition of producing high-quality folding boats and to lead the company into the future with new innovative concepts. Klepper, a market leader in foldable kayaks, has a loyal national and international community that is constantly growing. The acquisition includes all brand and trademark rights and the production site in Rosenheim, Germany. Furthermore, all employees of the company were taken over and new staff hired for national and international sales and production.
