VF Corp. announced that it will soon appoint its first president for Greater China, responsible for Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The name of the executive appointed to this role will be unveiled later this summer. Today, Greater China accounts for about 65 percent of VF’s total business in the Asia-Pacific region, a share that the company expects to increase to nearly 80 percent by fiscal 2024.
Kevin Bailey, the current executive vice president and group president for the Asia-Pacific region, will continue to lead the region, the company said, but he will relocate from Hong Kong to Denver, Colorado. Meanwhile, Bailey will additionally assume leadership of the company’s Emerging Brands platform, which includes the Altra, Eagle Creek, JanSport and Smartwool brands, as well as the Kipling and Icebreaker brands in the Americas region. Bailey will continue to report to the company’s chief executive, Steve Rendle, and to serve on VF’s executive leadership team.
