As part of its used gear programs started in 2019, Canadian brand Arc’teryx has launched ReBird. Part of the new circularity initiative is a new jacket style (Stowe Windshell) made from end-of-roll fabrics as well as tote bags and pouches made from apparel that was traded in as part of the used gear initiative and worn beyond repair. The ReBird offerings go to selected stores across Canada and the U.S. for a limited time. Through the used gear project, customers can trade in items they no longer wear in exchange for a gift certificate. Where possible, products are then repaired, cleaned and listed on the Arc’teryx resale page. Products that can no longer be repaired may then go into the ReBird program. The digital ReBird™ platform will serve as an interactive space for education and storytelling.
