Craghoppers has produced a documentary entitled “Hope,” which highlights the plight of the mountain gorillas in Rwanda. The 15-minute film, directed by award-winning filmmaker Pete McBride and narrated by Sir David Attenborough, takes a look back to 1967, when Dian Fossey began her work in the region. Dian Fossey was murdered in 1985, her original research center destroyed, rebuilt and then destroyed again during the civil war in Rwanda in the 1990s. The film explains the importance of the work being done by Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International and is a call for action to save the animals. It was presented during Rwanda Genocide Remembrance Week, at the beginning of April, marking 20 years since the conflict. The film was launched via Google Hangout, a free video-chat service enabling both one-on-one chats and group chats. It can also be viewed on the brand's website at www.craghoppers.com.
