Isbjörn of Sweden has announced that it will switch its method of freight from sea and occasionally air, its current methods, to rail from the autumn/winter season. The move is part of the company's commitment to make its operations more sustainable. The products of the outdoor children's clothing brand will now be shipped from the factories where they are manufactured, in northeast China, up to Sweden by train. Switching to train freight will mean a journey time of four weeks, as compared to the two months it currently takes by sea, the company said, adding that the change of method has also been made possible by China's investments in its rail infrastructure.
