Lenzing's Refibra technology has hit the new milestone of 30 percent recycled raw materials. Lenzing launched the Refibra brand in February 2017. Refibra is based on the group's Tencel fiber, with the addition of cotton scraps and wood. The technology involves upcycling a substantial proportion of cotton scraps – from garment production, for example – in addition to wood pulp, where the raw material is transformed to produce new virgin Tencel Lyocell fibers to make fabrics and garments.
