In contrast to many other companies, for whom the relocation of many production steps to the Far East has become the norm, the Austrian textile manufacturer Löffler is proud to have responsibly produced in Austria and Europe since the company was founded in 1947. For many years, the company has been obtaining electricity and heat from renewable energy sources. The recent switch to LED lighting and the energy-efficient new building of the Löffler Bulgaria subsidiary were major steps towards minimizing CO2 emissions. Unavoidable emissions are now being offset by a certified (according to the verified carbon standard) wind power project in Saint Nikola in Bulgaria, validated by Carbon Check (India) and verified by RINA Services. By completely offsetting all emissions, Löffler now produces its apparel in a climate-neutral manner and has therefore received the corresponding certification from ClimatePartner. The company intends to publish a sustainability report in accordance with GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards shortly, with further comprehensive measures and goals.
