According to the Fair Wear Foundation, the German brand Schöffel has mastered the challenge of living up to its corporate social responsibility in the pandemic year 2020 particularly well. For the seventh time in a row, the company based in Schwabmünchen has just received the “Leader” status by the international and independent foundation. The company increased its benchmark score from 90 to 92 points compared to the previous year and once again achieved the best rating of all outdoor brands surveyed. The monitoring rate, i.e. how many production sites were audited within the last three years, was also maintained at the highest level of 99 percent. The German company manufactures in eleven countries on three continents: Asia (including China, Vietnam, Myanmar), Europe (including Germany, Italy, Latvia) and Africa (Ethiopia). In 2020, Schöffel paid particular attention to the impact of the Covid pandemic on the labor conditions of local employees.
