The European Outdoor Conservation Alliance's (EOCA) public online voting for an environmental project that will receive its funding has already selected a winner in the category “outdoor.” The winning project in that category was proposed by Vaude. Altogether €35,000 will go to the Adept Foundation, which is active in sustainable tourism in the Romanian region of Târnava Mare. In that natural reserve, Adept is planning to create an eco-friendly, 15-kilometer-long mountainbike trail which is set to reduce the impact of tourism on the landscape and its ecological balance. Overall, 24,159 people took part in the online voting and more than 44 percent of them decided in favor of the project in Romania.
