The Outdoor Industry Association of the U.S. says that its Sustainability Working Group has about 450 companies involved in its efforts, with 300 active individuals concentrating on sustainability issues. It has classified 150 companies as “very active” in its efforts to develop standards and identify business practices that are environmentally friendly and set labor standards.
