Vaude has been nominated for a corporate social responsibility award handed out annually by the German government. The German outdoor brand reached the final round in this category for companies with a staff of 500 to 4,999 employees. Vaude is competing against four other firms including Hipp, which makes baby food, and Microsoft Germany. The winning company will receive the award from the Minister for Labor and Social Affairs in Berlin on April 23. Vaude itself sees the nomination as an encouragement to reach its goal to become Europe's most sustainable outdoor company by 2015.
