VF Corp. has announced it is committed to achieving gender parity across its corporate leadership structure by 2030. In order to pursue this goal, the company will be working in partnership with Paradigm for Parity, a coalition of business leaders dedicated to addressing the leadership gender gap in corporate America. VF Corp. already has a number of programs and policies in place that seek to empower women in the workplace, among which are employee resource groups and formal mentoring. Through its partnership with Paradigm for Parity, VF will complement the current initiatives with new actions that aim at: eliminating or minimizing unconscious bias in the workplace; increasing the number of women in senior operating roles, with the near-term target of at least 30 percent representation in all leadership groups; measuring progress by providing regular progress reports; and providing sponsors, not just mentors, to women as a way to support their long-term professional success.
