Datateam Business Media, which publishes Footwear Today in the U.K., has sold SGB Outdoor and its other B2B sports trade magazines, Sporting Good Business (SGB) and SGB Golf, to Silverback Publishing, a company in Surrey that is also putting out consumer-oriented magazines in the areas of music and cars. SGB's editorial and advertising team will remain in place. Paul Ryder, media director of SGB, will support the transition. Born 14 years ago under the name Outdoor Update, the British SGB Outdoor has nothing to do with the American online news service by the same name. It is mostly published online, although print editions come out once in a while. Going forward, SGB Outdoor will come out on a bi-monthly basis. Silverback plans to publish SGB Golf 10 times in the course of next year.
