Décathlon opened its biggest store ever on June 28, with a net retail space of 11,000 m², in the enlarged Rivas Futura shopping mall near Madrid, taking the place of a smaller 4-year-old store nearby. In a major innovation for this leading European supplier of outdoor gear, the store has many eco-friendly features including the production of energy through solar panels, the recycling of rainwater and the use of materials produced with minimal carbon emissions.
