Amer Sports has appointed Emilio Morabito as vice president in charge of commercial portfolio management for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), replacing Markus Ense who left at the end of June after appointing several field sales managers and strategic account managers who are now working with the sales managers of each brand of the group. Based in Munich like Ense, Morabito will report to Michael White, who was elevated to the new position of chief commercial officer for EMEA a few weeks ago, in connection with the departure of Victor Duran, the newly appointed chief executive of Intersport International Corp. Morabito was previously Amer's country manager for Italy, where it has obtained excellent results, and he will retain this responsibility until his replacement is found. He joined Amer in October 2011 after working for multinational fast-moving consumer goods companies such as Sara Lee/Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser and Henkel.
