Attila Hegyi, former purchasing manager at Mountex, the leading Hungarian outdoor retailer, is switching to Singing Rock from the start of October to supervise the Czech outdoor equipment supplier's European sales. This is a new function at Singing Rock, where Hegyi will be reporting to Guilherme Settanni, sales and marketing director. Hegyi's job at Mountex has been taken over by Ivett Hever, a member of the buying team. The Hungarian retailer runs seven stores, including a store for The North Face and a Mountex store just opened on 350 square meters in Budapest. This concept is aimed at urban outdoor consumers, with brands such as The North Face, Jack Wolfskin, Fjällräven, Icebreaker, Keen, Hannah, Osprey and Tatonka. Hegyi's move is unrelated to a broader management change at Mountex, with the departure of András Sárközy as chief executive last year. Sárközy no longer has any function at Mountex but keeps abreast of strategic decisions. The chief executive's duties were split between his son, Mihály Sárközy, and Tibor Sziklay, who was previously in charge of finance and human resources. Mihály Sárközy has a 25 percent stake in the Hungarian company.
