Benedikt Böhm, until now the business unit manager of Dynafit International, has been appointed joint managing director of Salewa's German subsidiary, effective April 1. He will share the work with Stefan Rosenkranz, a former executive at Fischer who joined Salewa as head of the German operations in 2007. Bähm continues to oversee Dynafit's global ski touring business. Simultaneously, the subsidiary, now know as Salewa Sportgeräte GmbH, will take on the name Oberalp Deutschland from the name of the Italian holding company. The new structure will steer the German operations of Salewa, Dynafit, Silvretta, Wild Country and Pomoca, which are all owned by Oberalp, plus the brands that the company distributes in the country: Silva and most recently Briko, the Italian brand of snow sports equipment and clothing. With the newly structured organization, Oberalp Deutschland shall be prepared to take on the regional distribution of other brands as well.
