Camila Vesth has been appointed as the new global design director of Timberland International for apparel and accessories. She has been working most recently as head of creative apparel and director for Le Coq Sportif, and she has also been supervising the collections for Karmameju and for Run and Relax, a Norwegian yoga and running apparel company. Prior to that she spent four years with Adidas in Germany and in the U.S., where she headed the women's team. Vesth will be based at Timberland's design center in London. She will report to Rene Skytte, vice president of global apparel and accessories, who says that she has already introduced a “visionary design strategy” and produced a working methodology to help reposition the brand as “the largest and most sustainable outdoor lifestyle brand on the market.” Vesth's appointment is said to have been related to a change in the nature and requirements of the role under the new ownership of VF Corporation. At Timberland, she takes the place of Dean Gomilsek Cole. Fusion Associates is the executive search firm that facilitated her appointment.
