Casey Shehan, who recently retired as president and chief executive of Patagonia, has accepted a position as senior advisor at Backbone Media, a big American creative and public relations agency whose clients include big names such as Black Diamond, Cascade Designs, Confluence Watersports, Eddie Bauer and VF Corporation. A former past president of the Conservation Alliance and vice president of marketing for Merrell, Shehan ran Patagonia for eight years until last February. He is still second vice chairman on the board of the Outdoor Industry Association in the U.S.
