Creating a new position, Osprey Packs has appointed Kenny Ballard chief operating officer, responsible for IT, purchasing, quality control, returns and human resources. He reports to Tom Barney, chief executive of the 40-year-old company. Ballard served as president of the Boulder Outdoor Specialty Group (BOSG) before setting up his own consultancy. BOSG comprises Kelty, Sierra Designs, Slumberjack and the Wenger camping business.
