Deuter has hired Katrin Riedel as manager for corporate responsibility. For this newly created position, the 29-year-old brings in a lot of experience from former employers such as Aldi, the food chain, and Allianz, the insurance company. In both companies she was involved in issues such as corporate volunteering and social compliance. Riedel will report to Bernd Kullmann, managing director, and will be the interface between the backpacks company and organizations to which Deuter is strongly committed such as the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) and the EOG Sustainability Working Group.
