Filson, a U.S. outdoor and outerwear brand founded during the Klondike Gold Rush in 1897, has appointed Paolo Corinaldesi as the company’s new CEO, effective immediately. Corinaldesi joins Filson as part of his role at WP Lavori, an international licensee, distributor and retailer of apparel brands that invested in Filson last year. Corinaldesi most recently served as global strategist at WP Lavori, working with Blundstone, Baracuta and Barbour. Before that, he was CEO of Woolrich International, where he led the merger of the brand’s U.S. and European businesses and oversaw the brand’s retail network development. As Filson’s new CEO, he will focus on operations, finance and distribution. Filson expects to further accelerate its recent growth, which it says has been driven by a loyal customer base, e-commerce and dynamic retail spaces. In 2021, the company plans to focus on international expansion and new product offerings.
