Go Outdoors has named Claire Webb as its new chief financial officer. Webb joins the U.K.-based outdoor equipment and clothing retailer from Maplin, an electronics retailer, where she was responsible for the finance, legal and human resources functions. Earlier this year, at Maplin she oversaw re-financings and the sale of the business to Rutland Partners. She will succeed Chris Morgan, who leaves Go Outdoors after several years with the business. Morgan's new role is not yet known. Webb will join the Go Outdoors board in early 2015. Go Outdoors recently announced record sales of £174 million (€217.67m-$274.64m) for the 2013/14 financial year. Operating earnings before amortization (Ebitda) grew to £10.2 million (€12.76m-$15.98m), up from £9.4 million in the previous year.
