La Sportiva has hired Vittorio Barrasso as brand & communication corporate manager and Andrea Ranalletti as trade marketing manager. They will both report to Giulia Delladio, La Sportiva’s corporate marketing director.
Barrasso brings long-standing experience in the consumer goods industry. In his new role, he will oversee brand development, communication, e-commerce and sports marketing.
Ranalletti has previously worked for international brands in the luxury and outdoor segments, with functions in trade marketing and visual merchandising. Ranalletti’s role as trade marketing manager, a new position, is supposed to set the foundations for further commercial expansion.
La Sportiva’s products are currently sold in more than 70 countries. The company’s origins date back to 1928, when Narciso Delladio hand-crafted wooden leather boots for the lumberjacks and farmers of the Fassa and Fiemme valleys in Italy’s Dolomites. La Sportiva produces mainly in its headquarters at Ziano di Fiemme, a municipality in Italy’s Trentino-Alto Adige. The company saw its revenues jump by 28 percent in 2021, widely exceeding its expectations, primarily due to investments in advanced technologies and digitalization. The company has a staff of 420 people.
