Marti Batalla, who founded Grifone in 1984, is leaving the Spanish outerwear company after more than 20 years at its helm. His departure is related to the acquisition of a controlling stake in the company by Ramón Cierco, who began to invest in Grifone in 2011. Other shareholders are Sandro Rosell, former president of the Barcelona football club, Eugenio Padrós, who has worked for Quiksilver for many years, and Pepe Navarro, who has worked for many fashion brands and O'Neill.
