Martin Kössler, the 42-year-old former export manager of Haglöfs who recently resigned as secretary general of the Scandinavian Outdoor Group, has become chairman of the board at Bergans of Norway. He replaces the 82-year-old Per Nessjøen, who is retiring. Two more new directors continue to sit on the board of the Norwegian marketer of outdoor clothing and equipment, namely Jon Søland and Jan Tore Jensen, representing the Norwegian families that control a substantial part of Bergans' shares. Ragnar Jensen, 71, remains as the company's chief executive.
