Michael Austermühle, 46, has been appointed country manager of Patagonia for Germany and Austria, replacing Norbert Sandner who has been made European alpine and climbing manager. Austermühle was most recently the German country manager of The North Face, a company with which he worked for the past seven years. Prior to that he held various roles at O'Neill, H²O and Berger Sportswear.
