Michael McCormick, executive vice president of global sales and marketing at Columbia Sportswear, has resigned from the company for personal reasons. Tim Boyle, the company's chief executive, will take over on an interim basis. McCormick joined Columbia in August 2006 as vice president of sales and was named to the current post in October 2008. He had previously served in various sales and marketing positions for Golf Galaxy, Callaway Golf and Nike. On Aug. 13, McCormick sold nearly 83,000 Columbia shares in multiple transactions, including 62,314 shares acquired through options, for total gross proceeds of more than $4.3 million.
