Mike Abbott will be the new president of  Keen Footwear from July 8, 2013. He has nearly two decades of experience in global operations, most recently as chief operating officer of Specialized Bicycles, where he first joined as general manager in 2009. Before entering the bike industry, he acted as chief financial officer for Burton Snowboards. At the American company, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary, Abbott replaces James Curleigh, who left Keen last year to become executive vice president of Levi Strauss & Co. and president of the Levi's brand. When Curleigh left as president and chief executive of Keen, the company's founder, Rory Fuerst, re-assumed the duties of chief executive in May 2012. He is going to keep the CEO position.
