Millet, the French outdoor and winter sports brand, has contracted Alpine Outdoor to handle its sales in the Netherlands, ending a four-year partnership with Outware Trading. Alpine Outdoor is a new company established by Ben Jan van Diggele and Richard Cremers, who already have another specialist firm, Summit Outdoor & Sports. This company was set up last year following the dismantling of Snowgoose, the distributor that sold Haglöfs and La Sportiva in the Netherlands. Summit Outdoor & Sports took over distribution of La Sportiva and added Outdoor Research (OR) and Climbing Technology. Van Diggele and Cremers have split the brands between two companies: Summit Outdoor & Sports continues to deal with La Sportiva and Climbing Technology, headed by Cremers; while Alpine Outdoor handles OR and Millet, under Van Diggele.
