Oliver Wieser, formerly managing director of Stiefelkönig, a big Austrian shoe retail chain that recently changed ownership, has been appointed head of the Dachstein brand, an old Austrian brand of outdoor boots. The 40-year-old will be supported by Marlene Lumpi, formerly with The North Face, and Christian Wolsegger, sales manager, who worked for both the Geox and Ecco brands of footwear. Klaus Brandstätter, who ran the brand for 10 years, will put his focus on other brands such as Deeluxe, CEP and Von Zipper. He remains, however, a shareholder of Dachstein in partnership with the majority stakeholder, Austro Holding, which is controlled by Erhard Grosnigg.
