On June 1, Thomas Kamm assumed the position of country manager for Austria and Germany at Merrell and Chaco, two of the brands of Wolverine Worldwide. He replaces Michael Dörner, who managed the sales of Merrell in central Europe for seven years. Dörner has left the group to become area manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Birkenstock from September 2013. Kamm, 47, has spent 17 years in the sporting goods sector. He was working most recently for Salomon, especially in the company's footwear division. From 2011, in his position as sales and marketing manager for Salomon's softgoods dvision, he took care of sales of shoes, bags, accessories and apparel to key accounts in Austria, Slovenia and Hungary.
