Paolo Manuzzi, a 46-year-old manager who has been with Vibram since 1993, has been promoted to the new position of global general manager. He started off as manager of the Italian supplier of high-tech shoe soles for Italy and Spain. He later opened Vibram's offices in the U.S. in 1999 and in Japan in 2013. In his latest position, Manuzzi has been acting since 2001 as international sales director for the company's soling business. As previously reported, Antonio Dus resigned as chief executive of Vibram a few weeks ago. Marco Bramani, president of the company and a member of the family that owns it, took over his position. He will continue as president and CEO, and Manuzzi will directly report to him.
