Ralf Kindermann, chief operating officer at Internetstores, informed his business contacts that he would be leaving at the end of the year. He spent eight years with the online retailer specializing in cycling and outdoor products, which was taken over a few weeks ago by Signa Retail, the Austrian holding company that controls Karstadt and Karstadt Sports. It was said at the time that Kindermann would remain on board. While he did not provide specific explanations, Kindermann added that his functions at board level would be taken over by Markus Winter, the chief executive of Internetstores, and Bernd Humke, chief financial officer. Michael Benner, who has been purchasing manager for more than ten years, is to become the contact person for all things assortment and purchasing. Internetstores is the company behind Bikester, Campz, fahrrad.de, Brügelmann and Addnature, a Swedish online outdoor retailer that was purchased and integrated under the ownership of EQT. The group's sales should reach about €170 million this year, with €55 million coming from the outdoor business and the remainder from bicycles.
