Scarpa has announced the appointment of two new executives who will be in charge of sales and marketing, following a reorganization of management functions within the Italian outdoor footwear company. Francesco Favilli, an outdoor enthusiast who comes from other industrial sectors, will take care of sales. The marketing office will be led by Marco Campagna, who has spent more than 15 years in the sports sector, handling communication, product management and retail for brands such as Dainese, Lotto Sport Italia, Campagnolo and Suunto. They will both report to Sandro Parisotto, president and chief executive of Scarpa. In the U.S., meanwhile, Mark Mathews has been promoted to the new position of vice president of sales for Scarpa North America, reporting to Kim Miller, CEO of the subsidiary. As director of sales over the last nine years, Mathews has been instrumental in developing the presence in the market for Scarpa's summer product lines. Prior to that, he had worked for seven years at Vasque and Sierra Designs.
