Schöffel, the German marketer of outdoor and snow sports apparel, has appointed a couple of new managers in the sales and product development departments. Effective July 1, Bernd Dietrich will switch from Vaude to Schöffel and will assume the new role of international sales manager, reporting to the brand manager, Christophe Weissenberger. The 35-year-old started his career at Salewa and served Vaude as country manager for various markets in Eastern Europe and the Far East. One of his tasks will be to strengthen Schöffel's position in a couple of markets, notably in the Benelux countries and in East Asia. The other new manager is Chris Weber, who will also join the team on July 1 as key accounts manager. He has worked in the same position at Oakley in Germany. Simultaneously, Schöffel will welcome Johanna Keinath as product manager for its women's collection. She has worked most recently for Mammut Sports Group. Schöffel has also hired Wolfgang Helmberger as its new marketing director, replacing Corinna Umbach who has left the company. The 32-year-old served as European marketing manager for inline skates and the Zoot brand at K2 Sports Europe's headquarters, which is also located in the Munich area.
